Using the Chicago Public Library is easy! If you need help, here's a quick guided tour created by OverDrive, the company that provides downloadable service for us and many other libraries. The guide walks you through the basics, from getting started to downloading to burning to a CD. In just a few minutes, even the newest user can be enjoying a downloaded title.

As the guide is not library specific, there are a few things in it which do not apply to the Chicago Public Library:

You may have a maximum of 6 titles checked out from the Downloadable Library.
Downloaded Audiobooks and Music are checked out for 21 days and are automatically returned to the library.
Downloaded videos are checked out for 7days and are automatically returned to the library.
